So you may be wondering what’s been going on lately??  Have I disappeared? Decided to never make another background again? Fell off the face of the earth?  Well I assure it’s none of those things!  Here’s what happening in my life right now- I’m getting ready to move! Not just the pack up a U-Haul and move a few states over– I’m moving across the big pond.  I’m moving to Scotland in September.

My husband will be getting a master’s degree at a University in Glasgow so we’ll be over there a few years. But I wanted to share this so you’d know why the lack of new media and new posts has been happening lately. However, the PixelGirl Media Fall 2008 Collection will be out next week. You can see a preview of some of the stills from the collection in the side bar. And as soon as I can get settled and get my office set back up, I’ll be busting out some Christmas stuff and maybe some more fall stuff.  But anyways, that’s the major news for now.

I’ve been out on vacation recently, got some much needed rest. But I decided it’s time for some new awesome links. Who doesn’t love a good post that contains some awesome resources? 1. Bittbox.com- I’ve posted this one before but I’m posting it again b/c he just updated the site and b/c it’s one of the best places to find free vectors and photoshop brushes

2. Video Copilot.com- best tutorials for After Effects that you will find anywhere! They just redesigned their site as well so go take a look, even if you’ve been there before.

3.Photoshop Insider- The personal blog of Scott Kelby, the editor and publisher of Photoshop User magazine. One of the best blogs about photo how to’s and equipment as well as shared photography experiences.

4.Church Video Ideas- the blog of Greg Atkinson, Director of Technical Arts at Bent Tree Church in Texas. This is the guy to follow and learn from if you want to know how to set up a successful media ministry in your church.

5. Churchmedia.net- This is the place to go to learn all the technical stuff you will need to know to set up a media ministry in your church.

6. Freelance Switch- The resource for creative freelancing advice and some really great comic strips about the freelance life!

7. Image After- one of my favorites for finding new textures

8. VectorTuts- Great vector tutorial resources.

9. FXPHD- The best training resource for motion graphic design and visual FX work!
