Weekly Link Round Up (#7)

September 27, 2007

Just a quick side note here before we begin the weekly links. There are now graphics on the new site, Graphics4Worship, that I added to the roster of places you can find PixelGirl Media. The full collection isn’t there yet but will be appearing over the next week or so.

On to the links- This week’s links are very geeky/nerdy. They are all about the highly technical side of video. If you have ever had questions about what certain things are or mean, these links are for you.

Genlock- An overview of genlock, most new digital videographers have barely heard of this, much less know what it is. Go read- even in the digital age, genlock will affect your video work at some point!

TV Pro Gear Video Terms- a great glossary for all those video terms that you wondered what they meant. TV Pro Gear is also a great site to buy or sell used TV equipment.

ITV Dictionary- Great for defining those terms you don’t know, fully searchable index!

TV Technical Theory Unplugged- kind of an old school looking website but great explanations none-the-less

DaLite- This projection screen company not only makes great screens but they have an incredible wealth of information about projection technology on their website.

Ok, that’s enough geeky stuff to keep you busy for now. New fall backgrounds coming on Monday!

New Site!

September 24, 2007

PixelGirl Media is adding another site to the PGM store. Graphics4Worship.com is the new place to find PixelGirl Media. PGM Media should be appearing on the site over the next few days so go check it out. I’ll also probably be adding some stills to my collection on this site.

This week will be the week of Fall! So expect some great backgrounds for fall next week. Check back on next Monday for the latest new media!

Weekly Link Round Up (#6)

September 20, 2007

Here’s the latest and greatest from across the web. This week’s links are all about business productivity.

43 Folders – Home of the great GTD (that’s “Getting Things Done”) guru Merlin Mann

Zen Habits - ways to simplify every area of your life, not just business

How to Change the World – the blog of Guy Kawaski, home of good common sense business tips and solutions

Freelance Switch – if you are a freelancer or considering becoming one, this blog is definitely worth a daily read

And last but definitely not least, I’d like to post a link to a reader’s blog. No Perfect People is the blog of Mike, a really great graphics designer. He’s the guy behind the great designs of Christian Collages. Check out his blog here.
